Information and purposes

When you shop, create an account or contact us, we may receive your name, contact and delivery details, order history and correspondence. Our site also processes basket/session information and technical security information such as IP addresses and login events.

We use information needed to process orders, deliver goods, manage returns and provide account services to perform our contract with you or take steps you request before a contract. Tax and other legally required records are kept to meet legal obligations. Proportionate fraud prevention, account security and handling enquiries may rely on our legitimate interests; we consider the effect on your privacy. Optional marketing and optional tracking will use consent where required. Buying something is not a requirement to agree to marketing.

Service providers

Where needed, selected hosting, payment, delivery and email providers receive information to provide their services. Payment providers process the payment details you enter; Denmar receives the transaction information needed for the order, not unrestricted access to your full card details. Our store runs on WordPress and WooCommerce with Hostinger hosting and email. Payments are handled by PayPal or WooPayments, which uses Stripe, according to the method you choose. Automattic services support WooPayments and connected WordPress features. Delivery providers receive the name, address and contact information needed to deliver your order. Authorities or professional advisers may receive information where legally required or necessary for legitimate claims.

Retention and transfers

We keep information only as long as needed for its purpose and applicable legal duties, then securely delete or anonymise it. The retention of order and refund records depends on accounting requirements, unresolved disputes and the period in which legal claims may arise. Account data is retained while the account is used and as needed to resolve related orders; you can request closure. Enquiries and security records are kept for the time needed to resolve the issue, protect the service and handle related claims. Marketing preferences are retained while relevant, including a minimal suppression record when needed to honour an opt-out. Our international service providers may process data outside the UK, including the United States. Applicable safeguards can include UK adequacy arrangements, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients, or approved contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity. Contact us using the details above; we normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, and to another competent authority where applicable. Information necessary to fulfil an order must be supplied for us to fulfil it.
